Minato-no-mieru-oka Park

A pleasant walk with a harbor view

Weekday afternoons are a good time for a pleasant walk at Minato-no-mieru-oka Park, but the park is always busy on weekends. I saw only a few people at the fountain area, benches under the trees, and even at the observatory deck for Yokohama Bay Bridge. I felt completely released from everything as I stood with the sea breeze blowing in my face. Two western houses (British Consular Residence and Yamate No.111), and Kanagawa Museum of Modern Literature are next to the park. And you can also walk to Motomachi Park, Berrick Hall, Ehrismann’s House, Yamate No. 234, The Gaiety Theater and Iwasaki Museum, feeling the Yokohama of yesteryear in them.
