Fans of Sanrio’s golden retriever character Pompompurin will have another reason to stop for a coffee in Japan this winter. Café de CRIE is teaming up with the beloved character for the first time, launching a limited-time collaboration across its nationwide café chain on December 2.
The highlight is the Pompompurin Reward Pudding au Lait, a sweet drink inspired by the character’s love of homemade pudding and milk. Combining custard, milk, and Café de CRIE’s blended coffee, it is topped with whipped cream, caramel sauce, and yellow sugar. The 680 JPY drink (prices may vary by location) comes in a special cup decorated with Pompompurin and his friends.
There will also be five collectible mini pouches featuring Pompompurin in different café-inspired scenes, including wearing a staff uniform and enjoying a plate of Neapolitan spaghetti. Customers can receive one at random by meeting the campaign’s purchase requirements at participating Café de CRIE and Maison de Vert locations.
For fans who want a souvenir to take home, the limited-edition happy bag is another option. Priced at 4,980 JPY, it includes a quilted bag available in pudding yellow or mocha brown, a matching blanket, and a fluffy blanket pouch inspired by Pompompurin’s signature beret. The in-store set also includes café vouchers and app discount tickets, while the online version comes with a box of drip coffee instead.
The drink and mini pouch campaign run through March 2, 2027, while the happy bag is available in limited quantities from December 2. In-store reservations for the bag open November 5, so keen collectors may want to plan ahead.
