Great cooking depends on bringing out the natural flavours of the superior ingredients

Until June 26 2016, cultured epicures will delight at the Mandarin Oriental's delectable "La Table de Rosanjin" package, which pairs a luxurious stay alongside an 8-course dinner of fine French cuisine, served on beautiful, exquisite, handmade ceramics inspired by famed ceramicist and gastronome, Kitaoji Rosanjin.

Using the finest seasonal ingredients and drawing on Japan's rich culinary heritage, each dish here truly takes on its own unique character, in part thanks to the hand-crafted ceramics adding a defining, original touch.

Think caviar with potato crêpe Vonnas and cottage cheese infused with vodka and ginger, served on beautiful indigo/white ceramic shells from Seika Suda.

Try roasted Kobe beef glazed with black olive, broad bean purée with thyme, alongside a souffléed potato parcel of beef tartar, on a gorgeous Yasushi Fujihara-designed original pottery platter.

Signature's culinary prowess is delicately echoed by the ceramic craftsmanship on display, making for a truly inspiring gourmet experience.

The course dinner is paired with five drinks—comprising Japanese wines, sake and a mocktail—carefully prepared by Signature's Chef Sommelier and served in elegant Baccarat crystal glasses. The package itself includes the Mandarin Grand Room or Suite-level accommodation, as well as breakfast at K'shiki or Oriental Lounge, with prices starting from ¥134,000.
