The city of Minamiizu is located at the southern tip of Shizuoka's Izu Peninsula, where approximately 800 cherry blossom trees are planted on both sides of the Aono River for over four kilometers. In addition, the nearby Hino Nanohana Field spans a vast three hectare space full of vibrant yellow flowers. The Minamiizu Sakura and Nanohana Festival celebrates both blooms, and there will be various stalls selling food and other items.
The event takes place alongside a stretch of the Aono River by the Roadside station Shimogamo Onsen Yunohana.
Please note that parking for the event will be charged at 500 yen per vehicle, with proceeds put towards upkeep of the local environment.
