If you're visiting Japan in summer and wondering how to beat the heat, Tokyo Disney Resort has you covered, quite literally. From July 2nd to September 14th, 2026, the resort hosts its limited-time Summer Cool Off at Tokyo Disney Resort® event, turning both parks into splash-filled playgrounds.
Across Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, guests can expect special soaking wet versions of popular attractions. Highlights include a drenched take on Splash Mountain and a water-spraying edition of Gadget's Go Coaster, while DisneySea's Aquatopia returns in its unpredictable, splash-heavy summer mode. Even the parade route joins in, with Baymax leading a lively Mission Cooldown show where bursts of water help guests stay cool.
Music is a big part of the atmosphere this year, with Japanese band Mrs. GREEN APPLE providing the upbeat theme song "Carrying Happiness (Tokyo Disney Resort Version)." You will hear it on attractions like Baymax's Happy Ride as well as during waterfront splash events at Mediterranean Harbor.
There is also a sense of last chance magic in the air. The castle projection show "Reach for the Stars: Everlasting Dreams" will conclude its run during this period, with a special summer finale added after each performance.
Beyond the rides, seasonal food and drinks such as colorful shaved ice and chilled noodle dishes offer a refreshing break, while exclusive merchandise adds to the festive mood. Flexible summer ticket options, including late-entry passes and a limited-time Park Hopper, make it easier to plan your visit.
